Walking in the light

Dedicated to preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ, eternal security, and grace through faith alone. I will forever expose false prophets and heretics on my blog. God bless you all.

Benny Hinn Says there are 9 members of the Trinity

1 John 5:7

“For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.”

King James Version (KJV)

Hebrews 1:3 KJV

Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;

One of the most important doctrines of the faith, especially for us Independent Fundamental Baptists, is the Trinity. This doctrine has been under attack for many centuries by both Modalists, Unitarians, etc. If you’re wrong about the Godhead, you’ll be wrong about everything else, including the deity of Jesus Christ. It is a heresy to deny the triune nature of God and I don’t apologize for saying that, ever. We need to make sure we have the basics correct if we’re going to teach sound doctrine and make disciples. Maybe you’re a man of God, and you would like to start a church. You need to understand the Trinity first.

Many false prophets online have spent an awful amount of time twisting the scriptures to teach another form of the Godhead. One of them is a foolish heretic on YouTube named Bryan Denlinger (I can’t stand him). If you didn’t know, Bryan Denlinger has been teaching the oneness doctrine for a while now, and he absolutely hates the doctrine of the Trinity. I will cover this issue in the future, so stay tuned! But tonight, I want to focus on one specific individual liar and conman; his name is Benny Hinn. If you’ve been around long enough in the faith, then you know exactly who I am speaking of, and which lousy false prophet I am going to call out. For those of you reading this, who don’t have a clue about Mr. Hinn, let me give you a brief description of him. Benny is a tongue-speaking, jibber-jabber, pimp smacking, faith “healing” false prophet all the way from Grapevine, Texas. I will not take time to list each of the false doctrines this man teaches, but for now, I will cover at least one of them, and I think it’s a serious matter.

To bring things up to speed, Hinn believes that there are 9 members in the Godhead, which he is teaching a different God. Hinn preached a sermon way back in 1990, where he said each person in the Trinity is a Triune being by Himself. Notice, he doesn’t even quote a scripture in the Bible to present his case. This is blatant HERESY. Let me tell you this, brethren: it isn’t difficult to explain the Trinity from scripture. It isn’t hard to understand this fundamental doctrine of the faith, if you’re saved and born again. Allow me to share with you a few scriptures from the Bible to prove that God is one God, made up of three distinct persons.

Video evidence where Benny Hinn teaches this heresy,

Genesis 1:26  And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

God said, “Let us make man in our image.” Who else is He referring to in this passage of scripture? Clearly, He is also speaking with the Son and the Holy Ghost as well. We know this because in verse 2 of Genesis Chapter 1, it says the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. Not only that, but in John Chapter 1, verse 3, the Bible tells us that Jesus made all things, which means He was there at the beginning of the creation. Mankind was not yet created until verse 27. There were three distinct persons having a discussion in the first chapter of God’s word! Preachers and prophets of God have always taught the doctrine of the Trinity, even since the beginning of time!

Isaiah 61:1  The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;

Notice, God sent Jesus to preach the gospel in verse 1. The Spirit of God comes upon Him, and the Father anoints Him to declare His word. This is a clear picture of the Trinity! You can’t go around this! Three in one!

Matthew 3:16  And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him:
Matthew 3:17  And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.

When Jesus got baptized by John the Baptist, the Father and the Holy Ghost were present. That is why we baptize new believers in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. Here’s further evidence in scripture:

Matthew 28:19  Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
Matthew 28:20  Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

The Jesus-only baptism is against scripture and, therefore, we do not approve of the oneness heresy. We don’t baptize people in Jesus’ name only; we should pattern baptism after Matthew 28:19! Again, this shows me that there are only 3 persons in the Trinity, and Mr. Hinn is teaching another Jesus.

John 14:26  But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

Again, the Bible gives us another example of the Trinity and it is clear in scripture. The Father sends to us the Holy Spirit in the name of Jesus Christ. All three persons work together as one in John 14:26.

As I’ve stated, Benny Hinn is following another Jesus, and it’s not the Jesus of the Bible. If you are preaching another Jesus who does not line up with the Son of God in scripture, then you are a false prophet. I worship the God of the Bible; Benny Hinn can keep his false Christ if he wants, but I will not sit back and allow him to lead others astray. The Bible warns us about people who preach another Jesus; it tells us to not to take heed to them.

Matthew 24:24 King James Version

“For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.”

2 Corinthians 11:4 King James Version

“For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him.”

Galatians 1:8-9 King James Version

But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.

As we said before, so say I now again, if any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.

Benny Hinn is accursed for preaching to others another Jesus! That may sound tragic to some of you, but we shouldn’t care. God hates false prophets according to 2 Peter 2, and so should we. If you love God, you will hate reprobates, too!

There are many people who say that Benny Hinn repented of this doctrine, but I haven’t seen evidence for it to say it’s true. Even if he changed his mind, I would not trust him, and neither should you. The Bible says false prophets are liars and deceivers, so why should we put our confidence in a man who teaches a strange doctrine like this one?

May God bless you all and have a wonderful evening.
